Clinton & Cristi are international zouk instructors who have toured extensively throughout Europe, South America and the Middle East. They specialize in Brazilian Zouk and have over sixteen years of dance experience respectively. They are the only instructors in North America with years of training under the tutelage of the creator of zouk, Renata Peçanha, in Rio de Janeiro, and they have a reputation as being some of the best and most technical zouk dance instructors in the market today.
Clinton Lacerda is a professional dancer, choreographer and performing artist specializing in Brazilian Zouk and Samba de Gafieira with over sixteen years of dance experience. He has a reputation as being one of the best and most technical zouk dance instructors in the market today.
He started dancing in 1999, and performed with three dance companies, including eight years in Renata Peçanha’s illustrious dance company and has won various awards in competitions, including 3rd place in the II International Zouk and Lambada Congress in Rio de Janeiro.
After only one month of partnership and training with Cristi Boone, they placed among the top ten in the third International Zouk and Lambada Congress of Rio de Janeiro Competition.
Cristi Boone is a professional dance choreographer, teacher, and performer specializing in Brazilian zouk. With over 15 years of dance experience, she has studied Classical Ballet and Jazz, Salsa, Bachata, Ballroom, and Samba de Gafieira.
She has won various awards including 2nd place at the 2003 Club Caliente Salsa Competition and 2nd place at the Coco Loco Salsa Competition in 2004 and 1st place at Belmont’s Latin Music Street Fair in 2005 in Nashville, 1st place in the Australian Bachata Championship in 2009 and 1st place at the White Horse Best Social Dancer 2009 competition in Sydney.
Cristi has spent the last five years training dance in Rio de Janeiro with the best professionals in today’s market, including Renata Peçanha, Jimmy de Oliveira, Ale Vilar, and Caio Monate.
