Val's dance journey started in Palo Alto where she was training and performing with the Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Troupe. Upon her return to Seattle in 2013, she took a liking in social dances such as Salsa and Bachata and soon fell in love with Brazilian Zouk.
She has competed and performed at various zouk congresses in the U.S., and studied zouk and lambada from masters all over the world. Val is passionate about exploring joy, connection and creativity in dance, and applying Lambada techniques in Rio Style Zouk.
